Welcome to the showcase
This is the example page. An overview of everything you can put in the body. Take what you need. Leave the rest.
Each heading below shows one formatting option. And right away the most important advice: write the way US writes. Short. Active. With a wink.
Headings
The big title at the top comes from the title field — you don’t type it in the body. In the body itself you use two levels:
##for a section heading (yellow, uppercase) — like “Headings” above.###for a subheading. One level deeper.
Don’t use # (a single hash) in the body: that’s for the page title.
A level-three subheading
This is what a ### subheading looks like. Handy for splitting up a long
section.
Text, bold and italic
A normal paragraph looks like this. Use bold for emphasis and italic for a softer stress. Not everything at once — then nothing stands out.
Keep sentences short. Eight words max. Every rally counts.
Lists
A bulleted list:
- A bat? We’ve got those.
- Sports kit? Bring it.
- Doubt? Smash it away.
Or numbered, when the order matters:
- Come by.
- Play along.
- Become a member.

Tables
Tables pick up the house style automatically. The first row is the header:
| Day | Where | Doors open |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | Diemen | 19:30 |
| Wednesday | Amsterdam | 19:30 |
An image
Add a photo with the media button in the toolbar. Always include a description
(the alt text) — good for search engines and for anyone who can’t see the
image.
Lines stacked together
For an address you want lines tight together, with no blank line between them. Add two spaces at the end of a line to do that:
Amstelcampushal
Tweede Boerhaavestraat 10
1091 AN Amsterdam
An info box
Want something to really stand out — a tip, a date, a warning? Use an info box. Click Block Quote in the toolbar (the quotation mark) and type your text. Want a heading on top? Make the first line a subheading.
Good to know
Your first three sessions are free. You don’t need to bring a bat.
Highlighting the club name
Want the name US to light up mid-sentence? Wrap it in
a brand accent with a bit of HTML: <span class="brand">US</span>.
The tagline markup
The tagline (just below the title, at the top of this page) has its own asterisk markup. It works only in the tagline field, not in the body:
*word*→ yellow accent*US*→ red, the brand colour*.*→ a styled full stop
This page’s tagline is formatting *with* character. the *US* way*.*. Scroll
back up to see how it turns out.
